The companies are being sued for how susceptible their cars are to theft.
As per the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's (IIHS) Highway Data Loss Institute, immobilizing anti-theft devices were standard on 96% of all US vehicles in 2015, but were standard on only 26% Hyundai & Kia vehicles.
